The Mongolian barbeque Restaurant franchise started here, where you pick out your ingredients for the meal, and the chef stirfries the lot beneath your eyes. Most cities around the world now have a Mongolian Barbeque restaurant of similar style. Other areas like Birmingham and Troy would have more upmarket restaurants like the Capital Grille in the Somerset collection. Farmington Hills is now home to lots of ethnic restaurants around Orchard Lake Road, Haggerty Road and near Novi Town centre. Other areas like the Auburn Hill and also Pontiac would have some cool restaurants, lkie the Rain Forest Cafe, which has aquariums and an indoor rainstorm to catch the imagination of the children. On the East side and around Macomb County, one can take the East Jefferson Avenue, which is across from Belle Isle and find the urban hideaway known as Indian Village, where one can find a whole array of different cuisine. Also around by Lake St. Clair, from Mount Clemens and up towards the Grosse Pointes, there is some great seafood restaurants, that also offer some tasty lake perch and pickerel. Alon Anchor bay is also recommended for its restaurants. Windsor has lots of Asian restaurants that have your tasty Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine to whet your appetite. Many of these restaurants are located near the University of Windsor, just west of downtown. |
